Grant Funding Announcement

Station Garage is excited to announce that we were successful in our funding bid to invest in training and equipment to introduce servicing and repairs on EV/Hybrid vehicles and undertake ADAS calibration.

What is ADAS Calibration?

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) include collision avoidance technologies (for example, lane departure warning, pedestrian detection, and parking sensors) and driver aids, such as night vision and adaptive cruise control. Most newer cars are fitted with some form of ADAS.

ADAS sensors must be precisely calibrated for these systems to function correctly, but they can become miscalibrated over time. It’s important to get your car’s ADAS recalibrated after various services, especially if you’ve had a bump or collision, as these things could put your car’s sensors out of alignment.

Our technicians have obtained the IMI Award in Advanced Driver Assistance. Using precise physical alignment, testing and electronic aiming of sensors, we can ensure your ADAS continues to function effectively.

EV/Hybrid Vehicles

Through this project, our technicians have undertaken the IMI Level 3 Award in Electric and Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement. Using specialised tools, we can diagnose faults within the high-voltage system, and troubleshoot and repair issues with low-voltage circuits. Over the course of the next year, we intend to fund further EV training for our technicians to enable the garage to work on live systems.
